I had Gestational Diabetes during my pregnancy in 2017. Those days, I learned to test my own blood sugar. I tested it in the morning before breakfast (fasting) and test 1 OR 2 hours after the start of meal. Every time I got a small drop of blood from the side of my fingertip to do it. It happened four times per day. I had done it from July 3rd, 2017 to October 26th ,2017, the day my son was born.
This special diary is my manifesto of motherhood. Sometimes motherhood is an endless loop. Breakfast, diapers, snacks, lunch time, blocks, books, errands, dinner time, bed time. Collapse and repeat. Yesterday, today, tomorrow and the next day. All at once. But the power of repetition and consistency is a mother’s magical power.
